Corn Dogs

1 cup gfGoodies Breading and Batter Mix

1/4 cup cornmeal

1 tablespoon sugar

1 egg

1/2 cup water (add more water, 1 teaspoon at a time to achieve thick consistency)

1 package quality hot dogs

Lightly whisk eggs and water together, add to dry ingredients. Whisk until smooth.

Heat oil to 370-375 degress. Cut hot dogs in half and pat dry. Insert wooden skewer into one end of hot dog. Dip in batter and fully cover. Carefully fry in oil for about 3 minutes, wiggle pan or fry basket to keep from sticking.

For mini corn dogs, cut hot dogs in 1/3 and omit the skewer.

Makes 6 to 8. Recipe can be doubled easily.
